Stock The Garden Wedding Shower
My sister, Sarah, is having a backyard wedding in October. Her and her fiancé didn’t need most of the things that you register for when you get married right out of college. They just bought a fixer upper with a big backyard and decided to save wedding money and say their vows in the backyard with an intimate group of people.
Since their special day will take place outside at their new home we decided to let their friends give them gifts that will not only make their wedding day more beautiful but will also be an investment into their yard! We called the shower “Stock the Garden” and let people bring plants or gift cards from a list of recommendations. It turned out more adorable than I could have imagined.
We made the garden themed invitations on Paperless Post.
We made a simple Photo Booth backdrop out of home-made wreaths and a giant stick. Everything that you see on the wreaths was bought at Michaels! Then I threw a bunch of confetti on the floor that made for some fun pictures. So easy!
We didn’t take any pictures of the beautiful food table or little seating sections that we set up because we were too busy throwing the party! But we did snap a pic of Sarah and Taylor who helped host the shower in this cute little nook.
After the party Sarah printed thank you cards with Artifact Uprising and they turned out so perfect. We will definitely be using them again for future prints.
It was such a fun day I wanted to share the idea with friends who might be interested in a different kind of shower or party! Sarah and Taylor left with so many beautiful plants and gift cards to spend on other things they needed for the yard. I will post an update of her wedding and yard after it happens so you can see how all of these amazing gifts were put to use!
